Kohler Signature Store by Supply New England Open House

After months of work and many helping hands, Kohler Signature Store by Supply New England hosted a vibrant, well-attended Open House at 7 Tide on April 19. The 5,200-square-foot space sparkled as guests filed through suites and admired all of the thoughtfully executed bath and kitchen vignettes. The Seaport District store is the third in New England and the first in the city of Boston.

“We’ve done 26 of these Kohler Signature Stores throughout the United States and I have to say this is the best one I’ve seen,” said David Kohler, president and chief operating officer at Kohler

The new Seaport store has an impressive array of products and guests are invited to touch, twist, and even take a bath to gauge how they feel about a particular product. “I think we’ve done an over-the-top spectacular job on the details,” said Jamie Reardon, owner of Supply New England. There are close to 30 shower heads to test, 12 working kitchen faucets, and an experience bathroom. “Come test out these products,” he said. “You are going to love these products and your clients are too.”

As Reardon spoke, he stood below a wooden ceiling treatment designed and built by local artist Jeff Soderbergh. The sculpture, assembled with reclaimed wood from Lovejoy’s Wharf, bends like a wave and caught the attention and admiration of many guests that evening. Soderbergh also created a wall treatment made from early nineteenth century ballast stone pulled from the bottom of Boston Harbor. It seems there are many stories tucked into this new space.

“Mr. Kohler, our chairman of the board, would say when you design a store it should have a surprise around every corner, so that customers are always delighted and encouraged to go through the space,” said Michelle Kilmer, director of Kohler Stores and Showrooms.

That’s certainly true at the Kohler Signature Store by Supply New England, and we’re excited to discover each and every one.

The consumer grand opening is scheduled for April 28.
