New England Architects:
The 2017 Marvin Architects Challenge is Now Open

Marvin Windows and Doors invites architects to enter its 2017 Architects Challenge, a competition awarding prizes to residential and commercial design projects that exhibit creativity and ingenuity using Marvin windows and doors. Entries should be submitted to MarvinWindows.com/ArchitectsChallenge by March 10, 2017.

Now in its ninth year, the 2017 Marvin Architects Challenge will recognize one outstanding design in each of five categories – Contemporary, Transitional, Traditional, New Construction, Remodel/Addition and Commercial. An overall Best in Show prize will also be awarded. An independent panel of esteemed architects, including Robert Gurney, FAIA, Manny Gonzalez, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP, CAASH and Ted Flato, FAIA, will evaluate the entries.

The Architects Challenge is an opportunity for Marvin to recognize architects who take creative advantage of the design flexibility Marvin builds into every product. It is also an opportunity for Marvin to honor the vision and expertise of the many talented professionals who create beautiful residences all over the world.

Winning entries will be announced during an ARCHITECT Live event at the 2017 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention, April 27- 29 in Orlando. Marvin will provide conference travel, lodging and registration for the winners.

In addition to the trip to the AIA Convention, the six winners of the Architects Challenge will receive a VIP trip to Minneapolis and Marvin’s headquarters in Warroad, Minn., earning AIA-CES credits during the visit. The project awarded Best in Show will be featured in Architectural Digest magazine, and all of the winning projects will be featured in ARCHITECT magazine and extensively promoted. All winning projects and architects will also be featured in Marvin’s yearly Architects Challenge book, distributed to customers and industry partners.

7 Tide Provides Even More Reasons to Enter

With the country’s first Marvin Experience Center right at 7 Tide in Boston Seaport, New England architects have even more opportunities to have their work recognized and showcased through Marvin’s Architects Challenge. Visitors to 7 Tide will see not only the work of New England winners of the Marvin Architects Challenge, but also many of the other submissions as well.

The Architects Challenge is open to architects who reside in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Israel. All projects must include a majority of Marvin brand products*. Projects featuring both Marvin and Integrity brand products will be accepted. Integrity-only projects are eligible for the Integrity Red Diamond Achiever Program.
