November Design Events In and Around the Seaport

November is shaping up to be a banner month for interior designers and architects who want to learn, network and celebrate their professions. Here is a round-up of design and architecture events coming this month:

November 13: Meet the Maker Event at the Boston Design Center 

Ann Sacks tile creator Juan Carlos Ruiz will be at the Boston Design Center to share the new Casona Collection, a handmade tile series that incorporates strong geometric designs and colors. For more information, visit

November 14: Learn & Lounge: Fenestration Field Testing

Here at 7 Tide, design professionals can learn technical requirements, specifications, procedures and results of field testing installed wood and fiberglass windows for air and water infiltration. November 15: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum’s 2018 National Design Awards event at EPAM Continuum

At 21 Drydock Avenue, EPAM Continuum will host a complimentary cocktail reception and conversation with the National Design Award winners. This year’s honorees include Mikyoung Kim, founding principal at Mikyoung Kim Design; Sunanda Sharma, researcher at the Mediated Matter Group; and Anne Whiston Spirn, a landscape architect, professor, and author. November 27: Boston Design Center’s Book Fair
